A meteor that causes a global earthquake, which then causes all of the volcanoes in the world to erupt and a simultaneous tsunami followed by a nuclear power plant meltdown.
As the meteor is striking the earth, AI gains sentience and decides it needs to destroy humanity in order to complete the simple mission it was coded for - making the lives of humans as simple and easy as possible.
At this same time, a Chinese man in Wuhan then eats a bat that is infested with novel SARSAIDS, a first of it's kind immune deficiency syndrome that spreads through toilet paper and tiktok usage and immediately kills the host
