Not playing with any heart, intensity, passion.

They have seemed very flat and just seem to be going through the motions, like they are doing just enough to win, but not trying to dominate.

My thoughts exactly. It has been somewhat of a trend under Miles. The good thing is that the same history that shows us flat against lower end teams also shows that we play up to the competition. For some reason, I think we see a different team against UGA.

Pretty much sums up the attitude of our coach.. which trickles down to the players.

yes. id rather have a coach who is a perfectionist. the team is sloppy in all aspects. inconsistent, unorganized. this hasnt only been this year either. not to mention terrible playcalling which is a whole other issue.

They are 4-0 and ranked #4 in the country, so what seems to be the problem?

I think their problem is in the trenches. The OL has not been getting the push that they should in the run game and the DL isn't getting enough pressure on the QB.

I expect their OL to improve because they have too much talent. I'm not sure if their DL and LBs will step up enough to make them a legit contender.

Was Chad Jones playing with heart and passion on Saturday?

have not beaten any very good teams and have looked bad against lesser teams. horrible playcalling, they dont play the best players, shitty tackling, and an overall soft team.

They were one bad call by Dan Mullen and a foot from being beat by Mississippi State.

He was, but not the team as a whole.

The number 4 is based on preseason hype. If Auburn had that same hype, then they'd be 4-0 and #4 right now as well.

LSU has looked really poor so far this year, especially in the Miss St. game.

So I would see a problem as an LSU fan. But the Tennessee Titans won almost every game last year ugly. So maybe LSU can just keep winning ugly. But against better teams they really need to turn it up.

True, but they are more talented than the teams they have played and still having these problems.

Why?

So. Do you remember Bama's game against Kentucky last year? It happens.

Honestly I don't think they're more talented at DL and LB. LB hasn't really been their strongest position for quite a few years and their DL is nowhere near as scary as in previous years except for Alem. The secondary is talented but those guys are going to let some big plays happen when the QB gets too much time.

I'm really not sure why the OL has been bad but I think that the introduction of new starters has hurt more than expected. Big Herm next to Ciron was a dominant combo. If Ciron Black had gone pro, then I think it would scary to watch the OL.

The Tulane game was like that as well. I think people are just worried because they haven't really shown the flashes of excellence that you would expect from such a talented team.

They looked quite sluggish versus Washington and Miss State and really should have lost the State game. With that many Miss State turnovers, LSU should have blown them out.
