Tennessee scored more on Florida than Oregon. How is Florida's defense without Easley? Is it the same?

Murray sucks yearly vs Uf

Lsu couldn't even run vs Georgia

your pass game is as good as ours now with shaw out

No tenn had a pick six vs uf. Ufs defense held them to three points till the fourth and under 100 yards. The fourth was ugly but purifoy, roberson, and Poole were out and they tore up the side opposite of hargreaves because we were severly limited at that point in the secondary. Offense of tenn only scored 10.

Do you really think a passing game scares Uf? Have you seen our corners? Running is the key to beating our defense with easley out. Roberson and hargreaves are lock down corners, we can take out any threat on the outside with those two. Purifoy, all sec first team holding the nickel all but eliminates the slot receiver. The high flying pass isn't scaring florida. Now Davis and gurley and hill...those guys will be the biggest issue for us.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Mett was making NFL passes against UGA. I don't think Patrick Peterson could have done anything about it.

I'm sure they're good, but as John Gruden says, there is no defense for the perfect pass.

UF's defense is legit. It is literally the reason they were so good last year. They were that good in spite of their offense that they won 11 games. Think about that.
I think a lot of people are writing off UF, especially against UGA, but I think UF without Driskell has the chance to run the table this season. Don't be shocked if the end up in the SEC CG.
I think UF's only roadblock could be LSU and only because it is on the road and early into Murphy getting legit playing time.
It could get very interesting down the line.

Is this the same team that held A&M to 17 last year? Would they be able to do that this year?

I doubt we run the table but appreciate the statement made. Murphy opens uo a lot for us and makes us a contender but It's a hard schedule.

I think you guys feasibly could. It may not be the most likely, but I could easily see UF ending up 7-1 in the SEC and winning the East. Defense being that stout simply puts you a step above others much like Bama in 2009.
The thing for UF I noticed was simply that Driskell wasn't a heady QB out on the field. All the talent, but just couldn't read a defense to save his life. From what I've seen of Murphy, he makes quicker decisions and that is key for an offense like UF is trying to run.
Think about it this way, even with a historically bad offense for LSU in 2009, they were were in every game and could've won out. I don't think UF's offense with Murphy will approach that bad of a level.

That's only because Florida is scared to play Alabama or something like that.

Since when did the SEC become the conference of fans who like shiny sparkly things and don't care about defense?

Everybody in America should be shocked if that happens.

Why? UGA has a very good offense, but their defense is total garbage. The best defenses UGA have faced are USC and Clemson. That's not saying much.
USCe gave up 25 to both Vandy and UCF.
The fact is that UGA hasn't faced a complete team and barely survived LSU whose defense simply isn't that good right now.
UF may have the best defense in the country.

Arkansas will gash UF now that Easley is gone. They were a lot better with him in there.
