I make them with a simple syrup, muddle the mint with lime, add to the syrup, add the rum, stir. Garnish with a slice of lime, and a piece of sugar cane if you have it.

I have family that has sugar cane fields. I can get lots of sugar cane.

I never keep enough ingredients around to make complex mixed drinks at home. I just go out and drink.

I had a bartender ask me what went in a whiskey sour when I ordered one once. She was dumb.

I can understand some bartenders not knowing how to make something a bit complex like an old fashioned, but a whiskey sour is something almost everyone knows how to make.

W.T.F.

I've had vegas bombs for years and only last week did I ever see it made with cranberry, and that was in KC.

A show about cars and different automobiles

I have been addicted to Top Gear for about four years now. I started watching about the time Richard Hammond was almost killed in the rocket car. The most funny episode to date was when they were challenged to drive three American cars down the Florida panhandle. They almost met death several tumes in that episode.

Autocorrect fricked that sentence all up. It tried to change boosie to bossy then it deleted it when I clicked the x.

the ones around here don't have cranberry in them. I think they are redbull, peach schnapps, and vodka???

Drinks like that can very from area to area quite a bit, or not be known at all.

But whiskey sours??? Come on.

Like everyone, I have drinks for different moods.

As a general rule I stick to dark liquors and their derivatives.

Gin is the main exception. A G&T when you're hungover is exactly what you need, with that carbonation and all <-again

I grow fresh mint in a container on my patio. Then, you really just need sugar, water, lime and rum. The syrup is just half sugar/half water. Mojitos aren't that complex, really - but really good when made right!!

I usually just drink whiskey with coke, or on the rocks.

But I was at a friends and made a drink with clear rum, lemonade, and sweetened fresh strawberry juice the other day. That was pretty yummy.
