I think today should be a day of mourning nation wide. What a terrible time we live in.

i agree its a sad day but this type of stuff isn't isolated to this point and in time in our history. It is still very tragic today but its silly to act like we are living in a shitty world now. The world has been basically the same its just easier to have access to the horrors that humans can produce in our age of information at your fingertips.

It may not be official, but I would say today is definitely a day of grieving. We are all looking for comfort, whether it's in words of the scripture, or friends, or even just a temporary escape. There is only so much the mind and spirit can handle.

Dude, it was a horrible fricking thing that happened. May peace and comfort find these families coping with this tremendous loss. But I am getting sick, of all this "Oh it's the time we live in." "Oh what's wrong with society" This shite has always happened, maybe not with guns, but violence has and always will exist and people will exist who get nothing from life except joy from harming others. Not everything has an answer. But our society is no worse off than it was a decade ago, in fact it is better in many aspects I would imagine. Prayers for the families that are dealing with this tragedy, but sitting around depressed about this helps no one.

The main difference between today and 100 years ago is that today we have TV and internet to publicize all the fricked up shite that happens.

fwiw the worst mass killing in a school happened in bath michigan in 1927, the guy didn't use guns. It also makes mike huckabee look like an a-hole for politicizing today for prayer in school.
