Vulcan won a grand prize at the 1904 World Fair in St. Louis. It is the largest cast iron statue in the world. It is the 7th largest free standing statue in the U.S.

Vulcan used to hold a light torch. It would shine red if there had been a traffic fatality and a green light if no fatalities.

Ugh... I'm doing all I can to keep all of that out of my mind... Terrible, absolutely terrible - words can't do it justice.

Makes me sick at my stomach.

And I am one who would almost prefer not getting or giving anything. I just enjoy people's company and don't need them to buy me stuff (except for my mom, she can keep giving me presents)

I'm the same, I hate Christmas like that. I'd rather just have a big dinner with family and that be it.

For what it's worth, and I know not everyone believes this, but I do and I know many here do.

In contrast to the unimaginable fear that gripped those beautiful children this morning, they are now experiencing an unimaginable peace with our God and Savior.

"He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection." Psalm 91:4
