I was nervous when I first heard about JFF for the precise reason you mentioned about D. Robinson. Speed is great, but only takes you so far when the secondary no longer respects your passing ability. Was pleased Kingsbury coached JFF up to get better in that department, as it really does make you as close to unguardable as you can be on the field.

My friends usually turn to me for football advice not because I played a down, but because I like to analyze situations and tendencies. Yeah and I can tell you all day about how that play was wrong and playing to Bama's weaknesses on short yardage plays.

Whenever you're within 10 yards of the goal line, and you have Bama's RB corps, you do not go for a weird slip pass into what would appear to be a TAMU M2M Coverage. Best Scenario is either a Jumbo Package fake run (just basic I formation, with a 2 TE split, right tight end runs out on a slant to Corner of Endzone) or you power it in using Pistol / Jumbo Package and pray that your sitting fullback can make a hole.

I about turned the TV off when I saw that play unfold, because I knew that it was over for bama.

JFF is a very good player in both his legs and throwing down the field. As long as he has wide receivers like Swoopes he'll be an excellent dual threat QB that will throw off a lot of the SEC conventional 3-4 / dime package defenses. A lot of the side walk fans will claim that their defenses will step up, but unfortunately I don't think that's the case. The only way I see to really stop him is to rush 2-4 guys on every play. The problem with that is that most 3-4 defense is Zone, so in rushing 4 you'll open up a lot of options for the passing game which I know he's gotten better at.
