Does anyone else think the way the election is won with electoral college votes is the most retarded thing in the world? I don't usually talk much politics, but every 4 years it reminds me how retarded the system is. The BCS is leaps and bounds better to choose NC contenders than our countries method of determining the president. Blows my mind.

Yeah it was great before electronics were invented and communication was limited to telegraphs or letters.

It was mostly invented because our founding fathers believed the masses to be too ignorant to properly choose a president. I find this to be largely true till this day, though I don't believe their solutions works.

It wouldn't be so bad, if States Rights were still in effect. It's been 60+ yrs since a WW and massive world unrest. It's past time for a major conflict and with the economies of the world collapsing and debt build up continuing here, I could foresee a world collapse or disaster in the next decade. Not saying war necessarily, but something global for the worse happening.

Definitely works til college. I was scared of all dads in high school, then after a couple years at A&M, I'm slaying old high school flames upstairs in daddy's house without fear of anything. Thank god for facebook and texting.
You better hope my sons don't run in to your daughters because it will not end well

I joke about it, but for real I want to be a cool parent. Don't want my kids' life to feel like hell when I'm around. Idealistic, and we'll see how it holds up when the rubber meets the road, but I'd like to think my heart's in the right place
Probably not going to have kids for another few years, though. Not in a real big hurry.
