Thanks, I really hope people were as fortunate as we are.
Not going to lie the idea of no power for 4 to 7 days... stinks, but hell I am living. At least work is already closed tommorrow.

yea no power can be rough but at least its not to hot yet and you are alive.

Its weird how it worked out. There was very little damage until our house. And somehow my basketball goal ends up in the backyard through my fence. Past our house is worse, but mostly shattered fences, broken windows and roof damage

i just finished cooking a kick arse ribeye. got another one for 2mrw i think i might go to cooking every steak like i did this one.
Any secrets you wanna share with the class. I'm always looking to improve my game.

i marinated this ribeye for probably 4 hours in some butter, tonys, worcechiser, garlic powder, italian seasoning and dressing.
then i put the oven on 500, turned the stove all the way to high coated a frying pan in butter and salt when the pan was hot dropped the steak on it for a minute, then flipped it for a minute on the other side. then stick it in the oven for 1min-2 mins per side depending on how you want the inside to look. pull it out and put it on a plate and cover it in foil for 4 mins.
gotta put it in a plate bc if you leave it in the pan then it will keep cooking

marinating ribeye? must have been a poor cut of meat.
Posted on 4/27/11 at 11:55 pm to Rohan2Reed
nah it was a good cut but i like to add a few things.
im thinking 2mrw im run to the store and get some onions and glaze them to top the steak

guess that could be good. if you're looking for a side.. the last time i grilled a steak i made some rosemary new potatoes. just potatoes, fresh rosemary and butter.. doesn't take a whole lot of effort and they were great with the t-bone.
ETA: oh, and sriracha on the potatoes FTMFW

Dammed HBT that sounds good. I'm like R2R supposedly only poor cuts need marinating but I've changed over the years. I like olive oil, garlic, and a dash of crawfish boil. If I can think about it fresh blue cheese slightly melted and rubbed is how I roll but I'm gonna try your method next time bro

out at dinner a couple of weeks ago i ordered a filet med rare and they topped it with a mixture of goat cheese and melted butter. it was fricking legit.
