Hockey has the physical skills and excitement of football. Speed, strength, hitting...just lack of interest. I bet a lot of northern kids would want fun, sun and pretty girls. Those Huntsville Swedes sure did.

There are a lot of times we can't get nurses to check on patients. Nurses are annoying, lazy, and hate all their patients.
Have several friends who are nurses and plenty who are doctors. I think it largely depends on the individual and the day. I get both sides of the story regularly.
<eta> that is to say regarding whether it's lazy nurses or lazy doctors... not depends on the patient... that would be effed up...

I'm just fricking with him. But he shouldn't downgrade nurses. Most of them do a hell of a job and work really hard.

The only issue I could see is facilities. Does Auburn Starkghanistan Oxford have any rinks somewhat close? I guess the MS schools could play in Jackson?

Ole Miss could play in Tueplo or Desoto.

A facility with a rink and say 10,000 seating couldn't be a prohibitive investment I would think. Then it's just a matter of PR to drum up interest. Emphasize body checking and putting someone into the glass I bet it would do well. 5 or 6 years the audience might even know what the blue line is for.

Columbus has a minor league hockey team and is only 30 minutes away from AU. Closest I can think of.

I'm a Pens fan. I hate Crosby though.

I don't see Auburn wanting to play in Jawja, but I guess they would.
I think if the effort was made by league office, it will catch on. When the league invested in softball look what happened. Plus you can add women's as the NCAA has that as a varsity sport.
But I know there would be soccer hooligans screaming they should add soccer before hockey. I like watching soccer, but I think NCAA hockey would be a better draw in long run.

Why doesn't the SEC just get a headstart on something different? Like cricket
LSU and Auburn have totally legit Quiditch teams.

If you don't hate Sidney Crosby, you need to GTFO of America.
