In his defense, those are as rare as Haley’s Comet.

Ah, wasn't aware baseball teams were an option on this site considering everything appeared to be geared towards college football (I'm new here). My mistake. Dude above you is still a dbag, though. Hope that's not the norm.

Dude couldn't develop a qb at all.

He coached Cam (as OC) but I could coach Cam. His only success as HC was Marshall, but Marshall was just a natural master at the read-option and RPO's. Decent thrower, but not great.

He had no success whatsoever with drop back passers. They actually get WORSE under him it seems. Stidham was just "alright." He made an NFL roster only because of his size, arm and physical ability. This tells me he vastly underperformed in college because his stats were certainly not NFL worthy. He coulda been very good under a good QB coach.

It just seemed like every QB Gus recruited never got better, and even the transfers he had like Stidham seemed to regress the longer they stayed. Marshall was perfect for his system, though, for whatever reason.

In Saban's defense, a good Auburn team only comes along once or twice every decade,

saban was 5-3 against Gus. You are saying the GOAT lost to some shitty Auburn teams?

I'm becoming more pissed at the '17 loss to Auburn than any other.
Saban purposely threw that game to get Gus and extension, yet yall throw it back in Sabans face saying he can't beat a good au team

If you’re ok with a coach whose claim to fame is this and not winning championships, you must be disappointed that he’s gone. Sorry for your loss.

What determines a good AU team?

SO are the bammers that keep saying this lying now or were they lying then, because all I ever heard from bammers before was that they hope Gus stays at the barn forever.

Exactly. Alabama hasn't beaten a 9 win Auburn team since 1994.

Since 94, the head to head record is 14-13. But aUbUrN iS oNlY gOoD oNcE oR tWIcE a DeCaDe!

They’re worried. They knew what they had in Gus/AU. But with Saban getting older, they’re worried who we will hire and what’s next when Saban leaves.
