That's just the way it is. Johnny football wouldn't have looked as good as he did without his 7' tall receiver that he had, and Marsall wouldn't have looked as good as he did Sat. night if it had not been for Williams. The receivers make the QBs look good, but the receivers wouldn't do well if the QBs didn't get the ball to them. That is why it is a team sport. I think that Blake Sims has done a wonderful job this year, and I really had my doubts at the first of the year, because all we had ever seen him do was hand the ball off, and the spring game, where he was so bad. He proved us all wrong, and he has given it everything he has and done a great job.

True statement bro and Sims has shown great poise and improved mechanics

The things that jump out at me are the poised, coachable, and athletic parts. He's not the most talented QB. He doesn't always make the best decisions. His mechanics are fine but not spectacular. But he's obviously a hard worker and willing to do and learn what it takes to earn his starting position. Even at a program as talented as Bama, that counts for a lot. I actually kind of admire his ethic in the same way I admire Prescott and (I don't know if LSU fans will hate me for this or not) Jarret Lee. There are others from the past decade or two, but I don't want UGA and USC fans to get swelled heads if I mention them. So I won't.

Sims is the biggest surprise player of the year. If Bama though they were Ok they would have not brought in Coker.

Coker's more talented than Sims, but if they start Coker at the beginning of the season, I think they lose the WVU game. Not just because of the playbook -- Kiffin's playbook was relatively new to everyone anyway -- but because Sims' experience and poise as a former career back-up really showed.

Sorry about the stroke, dude.

I do not think he is very good at reading defenses.

Blake definitely deserves 1st team honors... there were actual games we do not win without his legs. He made major long 3rd runs look effortless.. UT, Uark, LSU, MSU and Auburn are games we probably lose without big plays by Blake...

He threw for 300 yds against AU - 230 went to Cooper. I agree he is a good QB. If Cooper isn't there its a whole different story. See games where Cooper didn't go off - neither did Blake.

He has a short memory, poised and coachable He is a great athlete but he is best in the pocket when he's in rhythm People will say amare cooper made him but check cooper's stats from this year and last year

Can't deny this...and if Kiffin doesn't win the Broyles award if only for this, it will be a fricking disgrace.

All SEC QBs will be:
1st team : Prescott
2nd: Sims
3rd: Marshall
Should be:
1st team: Sims
2nd: Prescott
3rd: Wallace
1st team : Prescott
2nd: Sims
3rd: Marshall
Should be:
1st team: Sims
2nd: Prescott
3rd: Wallace

It's amazing that Coker was ever in the running for the starting spot. I think Cooper has made Sims career thus far, but also recognize that Sims is a damn good QB.
It's also frustrating though, when you consider that LSU also has elite talent at every position except for the most important one on the field.
