He has a short memory, poised and coachable
He is a great athlete but he is best in the pocket when he's in rhythm
People will say amare cooper made him but check cooper's stats from this year and last year

This is because AJ McCarron was scared of losing the spotlight to another Bama player. Thus he didn't target Cooper as much after his breakout freshman season.

Can't find them anymore, but his numbers when he is throwing to Cooper vs when he is not are astonishing.
Not saying he's not a good player, but Cooper is the guy in that offense.

Will Mo cover him with only a corner?

I have to give Prescott the slight edge but Sims has been outstanding this year.

Wasn't Cooper hurt most of last year?

Sims has better mechanics than Prescott

I don't think Bama would be 11-1 this year without Sims or a QB with his mobility. The O-line hasn't been reliable enough to pound opponents into submission this year. A scrambling QB is typically the last thing anyone plans for when playing Bama. He's made so many clutch plays late in games with his legs. Having an all-world talent like Cooper to throw to has made his job easier, but it's not like just anyone could step in and do what he's done this year ie. Anthony J. Jefferson.
He deserves a ton of credit and at the very least an All-SEC Second Team berth.

His pocket awareness is special. He can sense it and knows how to step up and avoid it, but without having to scramble off every time (which he can still do very well if he needs to). That's what sets him apart. That and Amari Cooper.

Could be the best this year.Where would him this year rank with the class last year?

Yeah, a lingering leg-foot injury. It didn't help that our offense played like a bag of dicks for much of the year. Thanks Nuss and frick you and Auburn.
Blake throws a better deep ball than McCarron, more catchable. Surprised the hell outta me.

For instance, the play at the end of the Bama/LSU game where Sims shook off the Mills sack and ran out of bounds for a first down - AJ McCarron would have gone down like a ton of bricks on that play.

As an LSU I am calling BS on this as we obviously would not know a good QB from a loaf of bread. We are simply not qualified to speak on this position.
Now if you want to talk running backs or any player on defense, we are in.
