Guy, you and everyone else are predicating every opinion you have about A&M on 4% of the student body...I don't really know what you're thinking you know about Texas A&M.

The only problem with almost everyone on this thread is that the your vision of A&M is so parochial that you can't get the corp or yell leaders out of your sight long enough to see the value of this move...It's literally unbelievable. It's just willful blindness is all.
Out of curiosity, what other value judgments do you make in your life based on less than 5% of the controlling subject matter?

Do you want to fit in in the SEC or not? We are a great conference and our schools are great for a reason, and its not because of weirdo traditions and all male cheer squads
We are known for nice campus', beautiful women, great atmosphere and College Football that has equal. Do ya'll want to get with the program and be a part of it, or do you want to be the "special" school we are all embarrassed by over in the corner by themselves ringing cowbells and dressing like Milk Men
Yall didn't have a problem throwing away 100 year old rivalries to move to the SEC... I think this is a perfect time to get rid of some of those embarrassing traditions as well

Honestly and as objectively as I can, I believe the reason our bowl record is so terrible is bowl selection. We travel well, so we get the better bowls with tougher opponents. Our best asset is a curse. Here are our most recent bowl opponents:
Florida St.
Notre Dame
Notre Dame
Michigan
UCLA
Ohio St.
Penn St.
Mississippi St.
Texas Christian
Tennessee
California
Penn St.
Georgia
Louisiana St.
Nearly every team on that list was unquestionably better than A&M going into the game. If we could mix in a few underdogs, that might help our record.
We also had some terrible football teams for several years, thanks to Alaba...errr....Dennis Franchione.
