exactly bama or texas winning the title doesn't effect LSU either way. Some sec team winning a nc doesn't somehow give LSU a magic portion of the title and their is no family or some shite like that.

My sentiments exactly...hookemmmm' horns!

It depends on how you were raised. At my house pulling for a non-SEC team over an SEC team in Bowl game was grounds for my dad's foot up your arse. I learned the hard way when I was 7 or 8 and pulled for Penn State against Georgia.

It is an SEC pride thing. I can assure you I am not the only one who was raised this way.

I pull for Florida, and whatever benefits Florida. Is that simple for me. And under no circumstances I ever root for GAg, FSU, or TN.

i understand this. however before the BCS, did you really care how the other teams did? there was no conference superiority then. did you really root for spurrier in the 90;s? i remember him being the most hated guy in the SEC

im the same way, earlier before SC fell apart, it was beneficial to have OSU and ND keep winning and Pac 10 teams winning. however i didnt care when they ended up losing, i didnt go on message boards and defend them. i dont do that for any Pac 10 team, i root for SC not my rivals

I'm on board. Hopefully, the SEC can at least go 8-2.

You do realize that our conference's perceived strength has helped us win a few national titles.

My reason is because when the SEC does well in bowl games-especially the NC, teams who do well during the regular season will get more power points and thus-better BCS rankings. For the overall good of our respective teams-the more SEC victories during bowl season-the better. If Bama wins-it will be the 4th straight year a team from the SEC has won. And if all the other SEC teams win their games-believe me, it will without a doubt send a clear message!!! Its not jumping on the bandwagon but I say get behind and support Bama. If they lose, ESPN will have a field day pumping the big 12!!!
