Ok. Actually, I was not trying to dispute your word or trap you into anything. I really was just curious if I remembered any of the players.

Honestly, I find it hard to justify prohibiting incest or any prohibition against the actions of consenting adults. In the long run, the bloodlines of those who procreate in such a manner will either fall behind or cease to exist because of the genetic defects.

Good enough. I was just curious. Thanks for your honesty.

I am certain that there is something in the Bible about not throwing the first stone. Is it not your calling to strive to be like Jesus? He was not very judgmental at all, and he was the son of God.

Absolutely true. However, the Bible is God's Word and He said Homosexuality is a sin. So, in effect, I would not be passing judgement. God would. Now...it would not be my job to exact punishment on them. It would be my job to love them and pray for them.

quote:

As for gluttony, I am using it to illustrate that laws should not exist prohibiting something simply because it is "wrong" by biblical standards. Children are to obey their parents, but do they get jailed when they fail to do so? I could go on.

I understand. But isn't this the argument you could not understand earlier? You know...the one about equivalency? Homosexuality and bestiality? See/ You can say two things are wrong without saying they are equivalent.

I'm busy watching Mad Men.

Watched it once. It seemed to have promise, but I never watched it again. Seems like a show I might pick up on and watch all the way through once it is off the air. I do that sometimes.

Don't remember him. I knew there were gay players...just couldn't figure out who they might have been. Doesn't affect the way i watch the game. more of a curiosity, I guess.

Sports and movies at that time. lots of money tied up and nobody wanted to be open about it. Folks always focused on the men, but nothing about the gay women back then. Especially the really hot ones.

So? What's wrong with that?

Actually, there is some background on that one. I read up about it a long time ago, and forgot what the circumstances were right now. I'd have to do a lot of research to find it again. But, also, keep in mind that was in the old testament and directed to the Jews...not Christians, since they did not exist at this time.

Gotta run right now...but if you don't mind, would you put the verses in Matthew and Mark you are referring to? Doesn't ring a bell. I'll look them up tomorrow and see what I can find. Thanks in advance!

Got to love Christians who are so self-righteous that they are black and white in the interpretations of the "Lord's word" but when the literal text is presented, they play dumb.

Unless of course we're talking wnba.

Think I'd rather see the big black and little white dudes smooching.

Why isn't there more outrage from the Mississippians about the fact that Michael Sam and his BF are an interracial couple.

I am back...and I am not playing dumb. I looked and looked and could not find it in Matthew or Mark. Please show me where i am playing dumb. Provide me with the verses in Matthew and Mark (or in the New Testament) where it was said that children should be killed for disobeying their parents.
