I can give you 100's of examples of coaches going with a more experienced player despite having a better younger less experienced player on the bench.
So, are you saying that Saban thought Tua was better or Jalen was better?

Saban does what 99% of coaches do they go with the known vs the unknown. He then made a tough choice that a lot of coaches won't do which is put a True Freshman in on the biggest stage. It worked.

Are you a retard? Do you know what the word experienced means?

Tua threw 77 passes for 11 TD. To say he had no meaningful game experience is dishonest. Our second string QB threw 7 passes
He played against Vandy, Tennessee, Col State and a few other awful teams in mop-up duty that meant absolutely nothing.

That wasn't a tough choice

So he went with the better player? You are getting confused by your won semantics. It is more than passing and running that makes a QB great or even good. It is the intangibles. It is reading defense, decision making, experience. All those things play into it. But Saban played the guy that checked as many of the boxes that he thought would make the biggest difference in the game. he played the QB he thought gave himself and Alabama the best chance to win the game.
That is NOT handicapping yourself.
Just admit you misspoke and move on.

He still got experience. Again. Our second string QB threw 7 passes all year. Don't act like Tua had no meaningful experience. Experience is always meaningful.

Alabama averaged 22 passes a game. Tua threw almost 4 full games worth of passes for y'all last year. That's meaningful experience.

He keeps conveniently forgetting that Saban replaced Jalen Hurts with a 5 star QB.
I think that was the point of mine and other Bama fans frustrations throughout the year. The kid was a True Freshman who lacked any meaningful game time experience. Key word is experience that you keep ignoring.
Didn't matter. He lit Georgia up.

Against crappy SEC East teams? In blowouts?
Nobody took any of those stats seriously. You can't tell anything by judging a player against those teams.

Y’all still had a clear advantage across the whole roster
No.
This is beyond laughable.
Who exactly in our DB,OL,DL or WR groups would start for Bama last year? Isiah Wynn is the only one I can think of off the top of me head.

And there was a reason why.

It is you who is confused because you apparently don't know what the word experience means. Saban 9 times out of 10 will play the guy with more experience in a situation like that.

Because when we brought in our backup we ran the ball.
I mean, like I said...Tua threw for 3 1/2 games worth of passes for Alabama.

So you don't count that as experience? I wonder why coaches put their backups in those games, then? Curious.

Do you know what the meaning of the word 'meaningful' is? You can't be this stupid? Oh wait......

The SEC East is a pathetic shite show. It was the lowest rated division in all of power 5 last year (by the same guy whose rankings you just listed).
You were 2-2 against the SEC West and needed a mulligan in one of those games. We were 3-0 against the SEC East.
Do the math.

Apparently you don't. Getting game time experience is always meaningful. If it was not, and it did not help a player develop coaches wouldn't give it to their players.
You never played sports, did you?
