Answering that question messes up the argument

Urban was an established coordinator? Where did this happen. Dabo is very similar to Urban, seems like a more genuine guy tho

No they didn't. Tua averaged 6.9YPP. YPP stands for Yards Per Pass. Tua threw 24 passes for 166 yards. 166 divided by 24 is 6.9, not 9.9.
Fromm, on the other hand threw for 232 yards on 32 attempts and that goes for 7.25 YPP.
You might want to check your math. Or, if you think that stat proves one team smoked the other, then Georgia smoked Alabama. We all know that neither is true. That stat does not prove one team smoked the other and Georgia did not smoke Alabama.
Tua absolutely lit up your secondary and defense for 26 points in only 2 quarters of football. If Tua The Great plays all 4 quarters the score is likely 45-20ish or so and we aren't even having this discussion.
King Nick handicapped himself for 2 whole quarters and you still couldn't win. That is the most Georgia thing ever.

I've posted this here a million times but here goes again.....
On the plane from Miami to Tuscaloosa, January 2007. Mal Moore and Nick Saban are on board as CNS is about to be officially introduced as head coach......
CNS: "Hey Mal, do you think you just hired the best coach in all of college football?"
MM: "I don't know yet Nick. I guess we will have to wait and see."
CNS: "Well I'll tell you one think Mal, you just hired the best recruiter in all of college football."

The facts show Bama had a lot more talent than UGA, so how on earth was the game so close?
I am sure it had nothing to do with our one dimensional QB? Right?
Was a whole different game once we put Tua in.

sounds like you're insulting the great saban by playign a shitty QB that can't pass for so long.

It was actually 2 quarters and an overtime, which is significant when you start on the 25.

No Coach or Leader is infallible. That includes Nick Saban. He had the guts to pull the starter on the biggest stage and it worked. Which is why 1980 is still your last National Championship.

Pretty sure the winning TD pass was longer than 25 yards. Would you like to see it again to refresh your memory? Kirby had no answers on Defense for Tua. None.

1. You didn't address any of the issues. the issue was the Alabama poster said that he averaged 9.9 YPP. I showed where he did not. Nobody said that he did not put up 26 points. I happen to like Tua. A lot.
2. To extrapolate a whole game from what somebody did in 2 quarters is dumb. I mean, do you seriously believe all games begin and end equally? If so, then Georgia would have beaten Alabama 26-0, since that is what the first half score was.

So it is now your position that Saban fell behind on purpose?
That tells us all we need to know about what you know about football.

As I mentioend earlier in the thread, that's a laughable angle to take. It wasn't "gutsy" or genius or anythign else, it was desperate plain and simple. He literally had no other option because as you mentioned the QB he'd ridden all year got you 0 points and couldn't throw a pass to save his life. Saban knew if he left hurts in you'd get humiliated.

and it worked
yes it did. He pulled the only possible move left he could and it ended up working.

It's still a net 25 yard drive.

That isn't what I said. It was not advantageous for us to play Hurts. Saban noticed this and made the change. The rest is History.

The same one that led Bama to a national title in 2016? That was just one guy. Y’all still had a clear advantage across the whole roster and what you claim as a huge advantage in coaching. Bama should have never had to resort to the backup up with such big advantages.
Are you questioning your head coaches decision to have hurts as your starting qb?

Still goes down as a 41 yard touchdown pass. Nice try though.

That is very irrelevant to my original comment on it being more than two quarters. If you had said, "Tua led Alabama to 20 points in 2 quarters and then threw a 41 yard TD in OT", that would have been correct.
