This is not a democracy, it is a dictatorship, I am the Law.
No but seriously, that is the way it works I assume. 1 president, 1 vote. No changing that.

Then why not guarantee LSU 2 night SEC home games per year as well?
Because you're dictating what time slots networks air the games. At that point you're forcing network time slots and breaking contracts. Just admit it, you hate capitalism when your interests aren't met.

I have no problem admitting that

I have no dog in this stupid fight, but that's the best laugh I've had today. Thanks!
I don't get the deal with night games and how you apparently think LSU is being screwed out of them. This is driven by the network, whether CBS or ESPN, and not the conference. Right? Did I miss something?

We like to play our games at night. We are forced to play in the day for TV. We prefer at night. Conflict.
What's so hard to figure?

This is driven by the contract the conference has with the networks, and the contract LSU has with the conference.
Understanding why doesn't mean we change our minds and now like to play in the day. We like to play at night.
It's not complicated.
But let's examine...
Earlier in the thread I posted some TV ratings for various games, and after seeing that the UT/USC game (and even the LSU/Arky game)outdrew the UA/UT game, we can only imagine what a regular season matchup between UF and UA would have rated. Someone's losing money there...

I'm not going to argue but this makes no sense to me. For one, the contract doesn't call for a certain number of day/night games. And I know of at least one A&M (vs. Ole Miss) game for which the start time was determined fairly late. Surely the conference had nothing to do with that time change? I still think your beef (if there even is one) is with the network, and for that matter your school for agreeing to it.
