I read Tr all the time...not to actually learn anything about the team, that is impossible on that site. But the entertainment value is huge...especially the circular reasoning that leads to mass delusion.
For instance, one teenager posts that “LSU WILL HAVE THE STRONGEST RECEIVER CORP IN THE NATION, if not this year then next year.” Then that gets breathlessly repeated on Tr until it is such an article of faith that anyone who says “whoa” is a dam traitor.
Never mind that the LSU receivers dropped half of the few passes thrown in their general direction last year. AND the top receivers graduated, AND the new WRs are mostly freshmen and/or unproven, AND no QB has stepped up who is proven to deliver the ball consistently, AND even if there were a QB the OL protection is a question mark. “...In the nation?” Really? Surely they are joking or just exaggerating? Why Alabama has a rising group of WRs that proved they can play in a NC game, yet don’t claim to have best Corp in nation. Nope, the LSU Tr lads all breathlessly buy into something that is simply circular scholarship. .
Ditto the “front seven will be tops in the SEC,” “Aranda will have best defense in country (forgetting 30 pts to MSU, 24 to Troy, etc.). The beauty of these firmly held mantras is the melt that comes when reality collides with the Tr. That, my friends, is entertainment and why it is the best site on the sports internet.

Talk about a "What If" huh? Maybe the current LSU-Bama rivalry becomes more competitive and tantamount to the Iron Bowl in terms of implications. Maybe a dynasty for LSU football is born. Maybe Les is still coaching the team. Maybe Alabama wins less than 3 of the next 6 natties. Maybe Saban leaves for Texas. Maybe Jimbo and Jameis don't lead FSU to their mid-2010s greatness and elevate their respective stock. The recontextualization of college football the past 6 years would be ridiculous, goofy stuff.

I think you read the trant for the same reason you can be found in any topic pertaining to LSu on this board...you're an Alabama fan in New Orleans and simply can't help yourself. (2003-2007 must have done a number on you for the same reason). I think it's pretty clear you have the same daily hate for LSU most Alabama fans have for Auburn. It's ok, I get it I really do. I probably would too in your situation, but no need to deny what is painfully obvious.
The tiger rant is filled with the same delusion and fanaticism as any other team board. It's no different than BOL, OM Spirit, Rupps Rafters, Volnation, etc. I do find it weird that people spend that much time on message boards that reading this board or their own team boards isn't enough "entertainment" for them, especially in June where nothing of note is happening that may garner interest. But to each their own
