Name the best players on both Alabama and Auburn's last national championship team and tell me which states they came from. Go on...I'll wait.

This type of logical, thought based argument is devaluing a Tulane Law degree faster than the Venezuelan bolivar.

Seriously, who was the last great player from the state of Alabama to lead the Crimson Tide?

Mullen has only had one 10 win season. No division championships, no SEC championships, no major bowl wins. Good luck with that.

I would rather have a coach like Mullen from the SEC who can achieve 8 wins a year while playing teams that average 20 slots ahead of him recruiting wise than a coach like Kirby Smart who gets 8 wins while having top ten recruiting classes for over a decade and a half.

8 - 5 at Georgia in one of the weakest Easts vs. 8 win average in one of the strongest conferences in the sttrongest division? Kirby obviously can't win if the teams are equally talented, but I know my coach can make it happen even if he has a talent level to bridge.

You were ranked 4, 4 and 3 in the last AP, Coaches & BCS rankings before bowl games. 2002 and 2017 are very comparable.

2007 you were ranked 4,4, & 5 and not a conference champion, but playing better than anyone else at the end of the season. More of a borderline case for sure, but that was a weird year all around.

"In 2017, Kirby Smart lost to a 4 loss Auburn team"

That's how you will write it when you are explaining how coach Hines Ward is better than Kirby 8 years from now

Comparable but not on par when you dig into the games played.
