Sure they did
Like Jake said, UGA was horseshite when I attended Auburn. It's only competitive now because of HOPE.

Well I got into Vanderbilt so one would think I could also get into Georgia as well? In 1969 when I was starting college Georgia was an absolute laughingstock academically.
Nobody believes that you got into Vanderbilt.

And Auburn still isn't competitive.

Well it was 1969. Longtime ago. Georgia was basically a JC.

But I did. Doesn't matter if you believe me or not because at the end of the day it is the truth.

You contradicted that by talking about dooleys national title. Simple minds like yours just can't help it.
One national title in over 100 years of football isn't a constant thing. It is like I am arguing with an 8 year old. Georgia is not used to winning championships. What you are used to is what happened during Richt's tenure which is what made firing him so hilarious.

This thread is all about UGA's potential. I'm not pretending to be anything. Your poor reading comprehension skills are exactly how I know you never got into Vanderbilt.

At least I got into UGA and didn't have to settle for Auburn.

I did as well- really easy to get into any SEC school if you had decent grades and know how to write. So by your response I take it you think Vanderbilt is equivalent to an Ivy?

But it is evidence of a ceiling. Even a 12 year old understands the concept of a ceiling in the context of team achievements, but not simple jake.

The college argument is so stupid it's incredible. Based on what I've heard on the news it's nowhere close to correct anymore for regular students. I've heard that now, UGA requires a 4.0 or higher GPA, good extracurricular things, and a little birdie (from my family in Atlanta) told me a few years back they may start requiring AP classes for regular students (and none of them mean Georgia Tech, they mean UGA, they're for real).
Now NCAA sports is a different story but unless what I've been told is completely wrong it's very amped up today to get in as a regular student.
But this is a stupid as hell, meaningless argument with sports.

Yep. Which in over 100 years we know what that potential is. Going to take more than one season to change that. Which is what I and others have been trying to tell you. But hey you guys are already printing the shirts for next year which is what you have been doing literally every season since 1980

Kirby has had the benefit of a 4 team playoff.
Kirby was able to win the Rose Bowl to get us to the natty. Mark Richt never would have won that game. He was notorious for choking in big games.

yes which is why I brought it up. One championship 38 years ago doesn't mean anything in regards to your ceiling in 2018. We know what your ceiling is. It is what Richt did.

UGA has yet to have a great coach. Spurrier was Florida's first great coach. Saban was LSU's first great coach. If Kirby turns out to be great, we will win multiple national and SEC championships. That is what we are capable of as a program.

What in the hell do you call what Kirby did in the National Championship?
