Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?

The polls are stupid.

LSU beats Auburn, beats A&M.

Bama squeaks by A&M, loses to Auburn.

Bama 38 LSU 17

Transitive property is stupid.

I wouldn't bring that up, as the argument you are trying to make would make a case for Bama staying ahead of us if we beat Auburn.

Yes, if, that is the scenario I'm talking about. Hypothetical. In no way was I ever saying we should be ahead of Bama and Auburn right now.

Miss St. beat Ole Miss who beat LSU who beat Auburn who beat Bama.

It's clear that the BCSNCG should include a lot of grinding.

It really is a great question, but there is no denying that the South/South East is where the vast majority of good NFL level players come from. As a result, the SEC gets the nod over other teams.

Transitive property does tend to apply on the conference to conference level to some extent. The bottom feeders are always a tossup though.
