I'm sorry, but he's not better than Garcia.

Garcia and Murray are way better. Bray, Wilson, and McCarron could also all be better.

* key word.

I am discussing the q that the OP asked:

IF he came to the SEC, would he be the best qb in the conference? And I assume the OP means "In the preseason."

My answer was based on what RW has done to this point in his career and it's a hell of a lot more than Brantley, Murray( although I do think Murray is better), Bray, Wilson, AJ, Trotter, etc.

I'd rather take my chances with what I got on my roster than bring in a band-aid like Wilson.

Not worth it, he won't take you to the next level as the "final piece"...

clearly because he is from the acc he isn't as good as any sec qb even the coaches son that has no business being in the sec let alone starting.

One could even argue that RW has that edge bc they both turn it over but RW can run and isn't a hoodrat.

Well, in both head-to-head matchups Garcia was by FAR the better QB. I know RW has a higher completion percentage, but he'd have the highest comp% in the SEC anyway. I just think Garcia is a better overall QB.

Stephen Garcia: 6753 yds passing / 43 tds / 32 ints

Russell Wilson: 8545 yds passing / 76 tds / 26 ints

Overrated attribute, he has speed, but he's not a great runner. No moves, under 4 YPC every year...

yes. His freshman year he threw 1 int to 17 tds. What really kills him is when he is bad he is awful. He threw 3 ints in 2 separate games last year. He also threw and interception in 8 straight games last year.

Against ACC defenses when the ACC was at it's lowest point since expansion. Just sayin'.

The ACC blows. He did well against them though.

Yea I think so. Like his fresh-soph yr he had some really good streak of attempts without a pick. I've watched him several times over his career and he's got a very good arm. If he could adjust to the sec speed quick enough, I think he could have a good yr.

But he won't be at any camp till august so it's really all a wash.

FWIW, UF is not in the Russell Wilson sweepstakes at all.

I say yes.

Murray is a close second but he is a better QB than Bray, Newton, Murray, Garcia, Brantley, Vandy's Qb, Trotter, Jefferson, Relf, Mackey, McCarron, and T. Wilson.

With that being said...i dont think he would start over Labor Day weekend for at least 5 teams.

Actually:

RW: 57.4 career

SG: 58.2 career
