With the new ACC deal coming, the only realistic expansion targets I can think of are Cincinnati and West Virginia, neither of which would be a good fit in this league.

I have a hard time picturing the ACC adding WVU. Why? i dont know..they just never seemed interested. Always heard Tobacco Road was against it. Im not sure if it would be better for us to stay at 10 or not. Not really crazy about any of the potential newcomers.
They won't for academic reasons, WVU already tried to get into the SEC and the ACC with the folding of the big east. I guess people don't follow the news around here.

OU could not beat a terrible Texas team last year? Hook'em

ESPN has lost a few million subscribers over the past couple of years and this is expected to continue and possibly even accelerate. ESPN is the driver of these huge athletic department budgets at Power 5 schools but that gravy train has hit a speed bump and those TV rights payments may have peaked.
That is the exact dynamic that could bring an OU to the SEC. If the B1G model of cable bundling as a the main driver of revenue dies out due to cord cutting, then the SEC Network changes from being a channel on the dial to being a streaming service you pay good money to access because you are a fan. In such a model a program like Oklahoma with a national fanbase but shite geography suddenly is very valuable.

I know it wouldn't happen, but I'd love to see East Carolina in the SEC just to troll the other universities here in NC. Hell, they care more about football than UNC or NC State as it is. Gets a pretty big TV market too.
