I was wondering who would secure his services. He is a great person, but hasn't won "the big game" while at Georgia. I don't think he can nor will win a national championship. So, If Texas, Penn State, Michigan or Oklahoma needed a coach I don't think any of them would even interview Mark. What say you?

He would have to go work at a smaller school or take a coordinator position before he gets back on the map IMO

Probably some ACC school. I think a school like Clemson would take a long, hard look at him. Maybe NC State as well.

Arky after Petrino leaves his office to go to practice, Richt can perform the duties of his new job at Arkansas and clean CMFBP's toilet... because that is all Richt is qualified to do at Arkansas.

Gotcha, so I guess thats why they hired who they hired. He isn't like Mark Richt at all, so his argument doesn't support his premise.

Based on the gravity surrounding the Sandusky scandal where the cash cow of football superceded the welfare of childern Penn State could not make a splash hire paying a coach the big money Richt would command.Hence the reason I asked what do you know about Penn State

Alumni and residents of Pennsylvania most certainly never want to win again if the price (harmed childern) is that high

Penn State was the second most profitable football program, the price was not the question.
Although the internet was loaded with Fulmer Fix It types claiming Penn State was offering the job to a Dan Mullen or Mark Richt, the only canidates they talked to were from smart kids schools. Tim Murphy (yale) David Shaw (stanford) before settling on an Ivy League grad that coached at Georgia Tech and Duke
