The NCAA made this fricking shitshow, not a judge in Bumfrick, MS.
In a more perfect world, a national governing body of college athletics would be incorporated in a manner where Federal courts would have jurisdiction over these things. But the NCAA didn't do that, so if a homer judge in Lexington wants to say John Wall can come back to UK then oh well...
I think schools like Alabama and Ole Miss could potentially be more appealing to recruits because those states' judiciaries are mostly dominated by Alabama and Ole Miss grads. Why go to Mississippi State or Auburn when if you try to get an injunction or TRO the judge might just fricking laugh at you, dismiss your case, and say Roll Tide or Hotty Toddy before he adjourns for lunch?
