To be fair, A&M's whole schtick is pouring their heart and soul into one game per season. When we stopped playing them, their focus turned to LSU. Given that, LSU's done well enough against them.

Yes. A&M will wince but he's too high profile and has too much tied into his buyout.
It is hard to fire a coach with an 8 and 4 record when they are playing in the SEC. Barring a massive scandal (paging Bobby Petrino to the courtesy phone) you've won at least 50% of your conference games that year and you are probably going to a nice, if not great, bowl game.
ADs are cautious folks by nature. What if you sh%t can a winning coach and replace him with the second coming of Chad Morris? If the new guy goes 2-10 you can pretty well kiss your job goodbye.

This is what Texas did with Mack Brown and a decade + 3 coaches later, they still haven’t recovered from it.

The Aggies are 3-9 against LSU the over the past 12 seasons.
Remarkably, Arkansas has the same record against LSU during that duration.

The last time A&M won in Tiger Stadium their coordinators were Steve Ensminger and Tommy Tuberville. Another aggie loss and it will be over 30 years.

Do they really like him in College Station? He seems so unlikable. I’m no ball coach, but would it have been so hard to say that TCU played hard and TAMU is going to challenge their kids to fight for all those little things that make a difference. Instead, he kind of ran them down.
Deep, deep, down, this endeavor, college athletics was and should be about creating men of character through dedication and exact execution.
