I’d say the Committee got the correct 8, regardless of order.

With the rules (having to add 2 cupcakes), They could have gone with any 2 of these 3 and it's fine (Bama, Miami, ND).
Since ND went full FSU, seems like the committee got it right.
All of the melting about it though, has been very weird.
