At least give the new coach something to build towards. At least that way he can sell to these recruits who are 3-4 year players that they are building to something.

His biggest "sell" will be keeping as much of this roster intact.

I'm sure we've been given some idea of what sanctions we'll be facing. NIL and portal will allow for a quicker rebound than normal.

Gonna be tough to convince kids to come if they cant play in postseason for 2-3 years. AU and okie st didnt have the dirt on them like those ncaa documents had on wade.

I find it funny they didn't just go for a postseason ban this year since they had just fired their head coach.

NIL

Sanctions may not actually be known until 2023.

We'll definitely face post-Season bans but PT will be available

Well if anyone has a non-biased take on what lsu should do it's for sure Alabama fans lol

What a dumbass idea.

Wade was the sacrificial lamb.

Who are you punishing now? The different players, coach, AD or president?

Hey, that's what LSU told General Wade to do!

Yes, and only 2-3 years after he'd been caught cheating in the first place. Talk about laying down the law.

Dumbass corndog comparing apples to bowling balls. Trying to say an agent paying Sexton (and other players at other schools) is on the same level as a HEAD frickING COACH paying players on his roster out of his own bank account.

Well Dumbass…Alabama was immediately compliant and forthcoming…. Therefore got a slap on the wrist. LSU basically said frick you for 5 years. It’s gonna take a lot more than firing Wade.

Yep bama got rid of that staffer that dealt with the agent in a flash. Ncaa gave us slap on wrist and sexton sat the exhibition and season opener. Funny where cooperation will get u.

They had to have “cause” to fire him for “cause”. If they would have fired him 2-3 years ago, they would have paid him millions for not coaching. The school fired him as soon as they had the allegations in writing, that was the best that they could have done.

Too late. LSU should have been a little more ahead of the game and got rid of tPear immediately. His dishonesty screwed LSU. They are in for a rough road ahead.

If you don’t think LSU lawyers could have gotten enough “cause” with those audio tapes, they need to get better lawyers.
