Um, duh? The point is to be the best. If Bama wins the SEC and loses in the title game, they weren't the best. That isn't CLOSE to acceptable and the players shouldn't think they did a good job just because they won the SEC either.

Please get off your tail and tell that to the players that you watch every week. You aren't Nick Saban, you aren't a player, and you aren't involved in the program what so ever. Get off your high horse and get rid of this belief that if you ain't first you last and your season is a complete waste.

It's going to be real interesting to see what happens if Nick doesn't win another championship in the next 2-3 years. Hell, after the '13 Iron Bowl you had Gump fans on Youtube saying the game is passing him by and shite.
