Totally agree. To any LSU fan who says 5th in the West is not possible, think about how good this league is. All it takes to be 5th is Alabama, Auburn, aTm, and Ole Miss to be better than you. Right now, I would say all 4 are better than LSU.

I get the 02 -> 03 thing, but the 2011 LSU Tigers Football Team won nothing of relevance, unless you think the SEC Title is relevant w/o a national title.

Yes y'all did win in the nc championship game, but lsu did win the division and conference. That season should have an asterisk next to it.

I can think of 21 reasons as to why that season should not have an asterisk anywhere near it.

Did the coach of this team lose his qb and top two receivers and starting safety in the first round in 2006?

Did he win a national championship the next year?

I'm sorry you and your program think anything less than being the best is acceptable.

BTW, it is LSU, and I still say they could go either way next year. Anywhere from 2nd to 5th in the SEC West, IMO. It all depends on their defense, because their offense will be terrible.

Let me guess, crowning Auburn as #1 already?
Tug the reigns on the "terrible offense" stuff. May take a step back from 2013, but "terrible" is a stretch.

I agree. LSU's 2011 season has a huge asterisk next to it.

Then I would tell you that you need to get a more reliable source for your statistics before you start your next terrible troll thread.

What if I told you Saban has only won the SEC twice with overrated bust players immediately sent to the NFL?

Would you expect mulligan bowls? Tears from his 5th year QB (1 time SEC winner) in Baton Rouge? Backing into fast paced BCS bowls with no shot to win?

Neither did Bama in 2011

He's done more with less, and the SEC title is irrelevant.

AJ McCarron has two SEC Championship rings.

Yep. AJ has as many SEC championships as JJ.

Let that sink in.

Take a look at any Bama "goals" list in the locker room. It's always win the West, win the SEC, win the NC. USUALLY, you have to do one to get to the other. No where in there does it say you get a mulligan.
