8 or 9

I mean les miles originated in the B1G as did a certain coach currently at bama
so if we're comparing coaches that came from B1G and sunbelt, looks like I win. Unless you believe the coaches from the sun belt you listed are better than the coaches from the B1G I listed?
Gus and Freeze have been HC's for a combined three years in the SEC.

Gus is a flash in the pan type coach, don't know how people can't see that.
He's good for a 2-3 year run then will peter out. That's why he jumps around.
But I'm enjoying his anointment among the cfb greats.

High school, OC (Ark.), OC (Tulsa), OC (AU), HC (Ark. St.), HC (AU) isn't "jumping around," it's moving up. Quickly.

I agree
but the present returns on investing in a B1G coach over a sun belt coach appear to weigh in the B1G coaches favor. fwiw I give a lot of weight to national championships

Take Miles and saban's combined first three years as HC's in the SEC and compare.
I agree a coach normally deserves at least three years to make a judgement based on his work.
however based on your arguement, freeze and malzahn should be able to win a lot more national championships than miles and saban. the chances of that happening have got to be astronomical

I never said anything about winning NC's. You stated......

there's a few B1G coaches that would do well in the SEC. who are some sun belt coaches that the SEC schools would hire?
I gave you two HC's who were not only hired, but are having success as HC's in the SEC. James Franklin had success at Vandy. Where did he come from? To think that a HC must have experience as a HC, in a major conference, before becoming an SEC HC is moronic.

It is fair to say Gus would have won between 5-7 games last year. More creative, less excuses, etc…
However, Gus doesn't get enough credit for the staff he put together at Auburn. I don't believe he could have done that at Arkansas. The staff had as much to do with the turn around as Gus did but I realize it is a chicken and the egg argument. I just don't believe with Arkansas as the selling point the staff would be the same.

I'd be wondering why he made a lateral move
