Deboer is a top 5 coach imo. Alabama would be crazy to get rid of him and get into the coaching carousel. The odds of upgrading are minuscule.

Georgia fans are sounding exactly like LSU fans after they finally get a win over Alabama.

Fixed.

Do you not realize people always say this crap about Alabama after every time Alabama has a loss?

LSU was the end of Alabama in 2011.
Gus @ Auburn was the end of Alabama in 2013.
Alabama was dead and done after losing to Ole Miss in 2015.
Clemson was the new sheriff in town after 2018.
LSU and Coach O were the end of Alabama in 2019.

And now it's Georgia that is the end of Alabama.

None of your trolls or claims are even remotely original.

It's a bad look for Bama to lose a coach to a lateral move at best type program.

Could be looking at it as a win/win for rivals and lose/lose for Bama.

They're saying it a lot more often these days.

LSU fans have certainly come out of the woodwork.

I'm sorry here's your confirmation bias you were seeking:

Bama is the best! Nobody would ever get tired of that Bama fanbase and all of the success that fanbase has given them. Deboer would be stupid to leave Bama. Bama made Deboer. Not the other way around. Row Todd.

I'm not sure how that is possible since the things people claim never ends and butthurt people run with anything that happens to Alabama as being a negative.

I didn't even mention things like Ohio St and Urban were the end of Alabama in 2014 and so forth. I just hit on some SEC highlights.

You know what's funny? I was watching some Oklahoma podcasts earlier this week and they were talking about the game this weekend. And when it came up about Alabama's performance over Georgia they said "It doesn't really matter because Alabama was so badly injured" when using it as a metric to gauge the strength of Alabama and what Oklahoma was up against.

Think of it as the same as you sucking Lane Kiffin off before LSU hired him and trashing him since then.

Or like you, the president and sole member of the Brian Kelly fan club the past 6 months, turning on him overnight?

I could make the same post about Lane Kiffin.

You could, I guess, but not about me. I've said over and over again that Lane Kiffin will never coach at Alabama because Alabama would never have Lane Kiffin. If Alabama wanted Lane Kiffin he would be the coach at Alabama and it would have been 2 years ago when Saban retired.

I don't know of any Alabama fans who honestly want Lane Kiffin or think he's a realistic option now or in the past. Everyone who has sense knows that will never happen. There may be some on this board, but who even knows if those people are real Alabama fans. I'm saying, in real life, I don't know any. Lane Kiffin is not an option at Alabama, and never will be.

Why are so many ranters giddy about him taking every high profile job that becomes available? It is bizarre to watch the two completely opposite narratives jockey for position on the front page.

I think a lot of them on The Rant are still pouring out years of frustration from when Nick was there to try to get under the skin of Bama fans.

DeBoer isn't going to destroy Bama football. He is a good coach. He isn't Nick Saban, and no one else ever will be Nick Saban. All of the idiots saying DeBoer is going to go to "insert job" while he is at Alabama are stupid. Nobody is paying that buyout. Also, why leave Alabama? It's a great top-tier job. Anything else is a lateral move or a step down.

The expectations from the fan base are crazy at Alabama, and it has gotten tougher with NIL evening out the playing field. You still have a very good football team there, and you will have one next year, the year after that and keep adding on to that. At the end of the day, you're still dealing with kids in competitive sports. Nothing is going to be perfect.

Lastly, everything might click into place for DeBoer in the next year or so, and he could go on a run there. He still isn't finished with his second year there. You have gobs of talent, plenty of kids wanting to play there and a good coach.

- From a sane LSU fan.

Which is the reason Alabama isn't firing him after the season like a segment of Bama fans want. We'd be better off keeping him and going 9-3 the next two years than get rid of him after this season.

I have no idea whether DeBoer is the coach for us or not. He just maybe a place holder that keeps us "good enough" until someone better comes available.

I still think BK is a good coach, he just wasn't able to get it done at LSU.

I also think DeBoer is a good coach, I don't know if he'll be able to get it done at Bama or not.
