Nope. It's called being a lightweight. A lot cheaper to get drunk, high, or happy. Much better in my opinion. You rarely get let down.

BamaScoop said that he thinks that Les Miles is the Larry Coker of LSU
I think this might communicate the analogy better:

The SECCG loser has never gone to a BCS bowl. HOWEVER, if it is going to happen, this is the year.
Florida won the SECCG in 06 ... who did they play? I have a short memory .. AU?? Anyway, Florida of course went to the NCG .. SECCG LOSER did NOT go to Sugar ... it was LSU.
How'd that happen??

Beat down Arkansas who seemingly abandoned the gameplan that had brought them success all year.

The 2nd place team in either the West or East has an advantage over the team that loses the SECCG, because the team that does not have to suffer that extra loss will get the better bowl bid. The winner of the SEC gets an automatic Sugar Bowl bid, but since Florida was playing in the national championship, the Sugar Bowl took LSU who was then considered the 2nd place team (after Arkansas lost).

FOX is predicting us to play USC in the Rose and ESPN says it will be the Sugar against Utah or Boise. We could go to the Rose if PSU plays in the NCG I think. I know they took Illinois last year as the 2nd place big ten team but I don't know if they have to.
I would much rather face USC!
All of these predictions don't mean anything though if we don't take care of business in November. I don't think it will happen this year but I've seen us collapse too many times in Nov.

I think the Rose will take Ohio State if Penn State goes, because of their insistence on their overrated, archaic tradition.

If you have to play USC I hope we give you your only loss. That way they still can't claim to be better than LSU.

But I am saying if that is BAMA's only loss. Georgia went last year because of their record. I think Florida would jump over Penn State and I think the Sugar Bowl is salivating at the possibility of having Alabama and Penn State play in New Orleans.
If for some reason Penn State goes undefeated and gets left out or has 1 loss, they will not go to the Sugar Bowl. They'll go to the Rose Bowl. Rose Bowl is always Pac-10 champ vs. Big Ten champ unless one goes to the NCG.

It's possible but I belive tOSU would have to be in the top 12 of the BCS. If I'm not mistaken, Illinois was 12th or something last year. That match up with Bama/USC would probably be too good for them to pass up. That would get alot more ratings then another beatdown like the one we've already seen.

Ohio State is only 13th. If they don't lose again, they'll easily be 12th or higher.
I agree with you, by the way. I wanted Georgia/USC last year.

If the Rose Bowl picked USC to play Oh St., they should not be allowed to have a Rose Bowl anymore. God damned USC screwed us in 2006 when we were probably going to the Rose Bowl. And then, the only time in my life I have ever rooted for them, they go out and lose to UCLA. Then we got stuck beating down ND in the Sugar Bowl.

And I wanted USC/LSU in 2006.
ETA: But that would have meant an OSU-Michigan rematch in the NC game, and the SEC would have never gotten the respect from the Florida blowout.

Yea Ohio State will probably be up there unfortunately.
I think alot of SEC fans wants to play USC so we can show them what real defense is! If we can't play in the NCG, I always want to play USC in the Rose.

Sorta depends on how bad Bama loses the game, don't you think?

2001: Tennessee was undefeated going into Atlanta, lost to LSU and played in the Citrus Bowl. Anybody care to explain how this year would be different?
