Not fallen apart, just missing out on multiple NC's. 2007 wouldn't have been an accident and Saban would've added at least one more for you.

I noticed that not one LSU fan has given a serious response yet. They don't even want to consider losing this game....because the answer to the OP is yes.

Hiring Curley Hallman would always be a much more "damaging loss" for the program than going 13-1, 1-1 against the BCS winner, and finishing #2.
It doesn't hurt me to think about it.
