I wouldn't consider responding to a thread title as hiding behind someone/something. Perhaps that video is what ticked you off?
I would answer similarly. UA winning another title doesn't affect AU anymore than their last several. UG on the other hand would make recruiting GA more difficult.

Crap. We were there. We got further than anybody expected us to. But, Alabama is supposedly your hated rival, and the Auburn fans are jumping on Bama's bandwagon really, really fast. And doing it enthusiastically.

An AU fan posted "Roll Tide"...it's the very definition
of "hiding behind" or dick riding Bama amd it makes you guys look even worse since it's supposedly your hated,in state rival.

All depends on where you live and the fans you encounter...at least for me. UF was personally my biggest rival when I started at Auburn because they were just starting their run and I had just come from FL. Bama was for me when I lived in Auburn and was in school. After 20 years living among UGA fans and especially seeing how some of them have handled the success of 2017, I would say they are right there for me now. Our record vs. you guys the past 10 years or so doesn't help.

Believe me, I know what that feels like. AU had FSU pinned downed after the last Mason TD. I'm still sore that Winston drove the field. Hell yeah it hurts.
UA is our rival as is UG. Having to see you two play in the final game wasn't easy - having to pick a side was worse. I think some of the chest beating from UG has turned people off especially when others in the Big 6 have done this multiple times since UG has.

Oh BTW,stop with the recruiting angle in regards to pulling for Bama.Our recruiting has never been better in-state or out and since you guys still sign the majority/plurality of your players from Alabama,don't ya think Bama winning another NC might hurt you guys just a little with in state recruiting?
