Now if gus hadn't embarrassed the sec and actually won the natty his first year then maybe this would be closer.

I'd have to say yes. Not so much that it'd require beating Kentucky as much as it'd require Pearl and Co. winning that many games in a row with a squad that struggled all season.
Somebody needs to bump that Ohio State tard's Bruce Pearl is overrated thread again.

I know you were kidding, but in 08 when we went we were a 14 seed after going 13-17 in the regular season and 4-12 in conference.
