So it seems the common answer from those who have been there and are in the know is that Neyland Stadium needs to be scrapped.
Its a shite box and UT deserves a better newer stadium on the same location. Given that this would take a year, UT can just play one season of all away games. No big deal.

I love going to games there (winning all 7
). They just need to make the seats wider.

tn thought if they built a huge stadium they would win champsionships every year b/c what kid doesn't want to play in a huge stadium.

Yep, and clemson is in bumfrick nowhere and you have to drive to another location if you want to do anything.
If I were a clemson fan I wouldn't talk about any other southern campus except for maybe Starkville.

Tulane Stadium was torn down in 1980. It was about as iconic as it gets. Capacity over 80,000 in the 1940's made it the largest stadium in the south. Larger than Tiger Stadium, Bryant-Denny or Legion Field on the day it was torn down. Home of the Sugar Bowl and hosted New Orleans' first two Super Bowls. I think it was the first 2.
RIP in peace

I feel you.
My dad's season's tickets are in the lower part of that end zone upper deck so I hear all the time how they are the last to get the upgrades.
But honestly like someone said they are significantly cheaper and if you know 3/4th's of the stadium has been greatly improved why not just get tickets elsewhere?

Georgia Dome, longtime home of SECCG.

can't think of one thing that knoxville offers that clemson doesn't, that anybody cares about. more restaurants/retail stores does not mean there is 'more to do'. The main appeal of going to school at Tenn is proximity to mountains which is going to require some driving.
miss state looks like a nice campus but it is not that comporable to Clemson b/c Clemson is nestled in the foothills of the mountains next to a lake and it is between two largest cities in southeast and near the most populated county in SC. Starkville is a lot more isolated

Knoxville is a city. Clemson is a small college town. To say Knoxville doesn't offer more than Clemson is just stupid.

doesn't offer 'more to do'. more restaurants/bars/retail stores does not equal 'more to do'. Clemson isn't far from Greenville for a nice downtown and shopping anyway. probably not much furthur away than Farrugut is from the Tenn campus

Hahaha. Still with this. Clemson is not Greenville. That's why I said you have to drive to a different location. You affirmed my point

most of the stuff in Knoxville isn't downtown, it is out in Farrugat. by your own logic, there is not much to do around campus. You are including Farragut stuff as your 'things to do' even though there is a drive. you do the same thing with the mountains being nearby.
anyway it appears your idea of things to do is go shopping. lol If you are getting bored at Clemson or any other college while living around 15000 plus other young people then you are doing college wrong. lol

Not Razorback Stadium; too iconic

lol, said no one ever. it is a better college town than Knoxville and a better engineering school though.

You are wrong. Tons of stuff around the river and downtown. And west Knoxville is just a couple miles from campus. Anything a college kid wants to do is located in Knoxville. Basically everything clemson doesn't offer.
