Isnt it pretty much the same offense as last season?

Didn't seem to be during the game on Saturday. Might eventually prove to be, but looks like it will be more Pro Style in nature.

LSU, Auburn, and FSU should all have elite defenses this year.

As to which is the best, well that remains to be seen. But even in the end, the margin between the "best" and the 2 others will be small.

This year IMhumbleO I'm more worried about Auburn than LSU for a few reasons:
-we have LSU at home but auburn on the road
-at this point, I'm not sure our O could keep up with Auburn in a shoot out. Bama vs LSU is rarely a shootout.

Bottom line, both games are potential losses, for sure.

What in the frick.

This the deepest and biggest our DL has been since 2011 and we have Devin White (260 lbs) and Donnie Alexander (235 lbs).

Major DL contributors:
Lacouture - 300 lbs.
Gilmore - 310 lbs.
Alexander - 340 lbs.
Herron - 312 lbs.
Ferrel - 290 lbs.
Lawrence - 300 lbs.

shite, even Arden Key is up to like 260.
How many of these guys are NTs in a 3-4 defense?

And by up the middle I didn't mean into the 2nd layer (LBs). Our LBs are badass. I'm talking about holding down the interior and eating up blocks. That will be a tall order again bammer. I do have confidence that Aranda can put the rest of the puzzle pieces (which are studly) in place to minimize Bama's success, but we'll see.

Yes because those previous defensive coordinators from the Saban tree look soooo good now. Pruitt ain't running that show and you know it.

Only Alexander was recruited to be a NT. Gilmore learned the position last season and is now excelling. I would think that there's at least 4 guys that could slide into NT without much drop off.

It was implied that FSU will be the best D UA will face other than the AU 2nd tm D for obvious reasons, so you are both correct.

There's no way to know that they are the best defense we will see. LSU and Auburn could potentially be as good or better.

Even if they are the best defense, we are in trouble on offense it seems.

People selling Key short, prob a top 5 pick.

Anyway, this is a run stuffing LSU front 7 I haven't seen in over 10 years. We actually have bodies this year built for phisting the run.

Too add, we seem to have ball'ers in the secondary again.

Long season.

Dude, we just played one, if not the best defenses we will play all year.

...and the score looked the way it did because of FSU's terrible offense and Bamas D. Any offense with a pulse and Bamas offense doesnt look near as good and the score is much closer.

The 2012 Alabama offensive line of Cyrus Kouandijio (LT), Chance Warmack (LG), Barrett Jones (C), Anthony Steen (RG), and DJ Fluker (RT) was one of Bama's best ever.
I KNOW!

Did you get the 2012 offensive line action figure set? I heard it came with a miniature (yet real) game ball.
