Stopping getting all mad.
UGA had even said at one point they would be willing to give up playing auburn every year during the first expansion (I think). The only reason we kept the permanent opponents is because of Bama and UT.

Who knows what those jackasses do. No one is going to say they are tanking a game. I don't believe your way is prudent or feasible. They will not wait until 8 months prior to the season to set the schedule.

This. It is just way too complicated too.

Regular season ends in November. Since it's based on CONFERENCE finish, that would be (I know simple math, WHAT A CONCEPT!!) just over 9 months.

Conference schedule for this year was released 10 months prior.

Permanent cross: Alabama-Tennessee, Auburn-Georgia, LSU-Ole Miss, (North Carolina School)-(Virginia School)

So then your permanent opponent aren't based off on how good you do the previous year and you are setting the schedule up to be boring as hell when division 2 plays division 3?

Yeah LSU doesn't know anything other than they want Bama to have a hard schedule.

Edit:...and Fla to play far from home...

Actually, UGA and Auburn - in addition to Alabama and UT - both said something of the lines of, "frick off, we'll do what we want."

That's where the whole "Big 4" business came from.

The only problem is I don't know how to work out permanent cross divisional rivalry game as we need both Auburn/UGA and UGA/UF.

In essence that's the problem the permanent cross games ...

Then you all can be in a POD by yourselves if that is how you feel.

Since we are mostly Yankees, we will take the North POD.

I was just making a joke about a few LSU fans compaining that we don't travel out of state for our OOC games. No worries.

New plan - the Big 6:

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Tennessee

Leave the conference, and take South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M with them. Pick up UNC, take back the name "Southern Conference", and tell the NCAA they can frick off.

9-game round robin schedule.

I'm down and we add Virginia and make this a deal.

Back to this one

The Coastal Division would be ridiculous while the Appalachian Division is laughable.

I'm pretty sure Georgia & Va Tech swap would be more fair than that.

Tennessee hasn't had a winning season since 2009. They are pretty much bottom feeders of the SEC, or at least for now.

ETA: In the last 3 years, they have gone 5-19 in the SEC
