Two elements:

1) Kirby Moore
2) Hardy and Robertson

Kirby Moore is gone to a bigger job soon, so I hope Mizzou enjoyed him there while they have him

Both South Carolina and Kansas got dominated in total yardage, time of possession, and total plays. South Carolina, nor us could run the ball to save our lives (-9 and 31 rushing yards respectively). And both teams have dual threat quarterbacks.

This actually concerns me. We DOMINATED both teams but the scoreboard didn't show that. We cannot have that inefficiency to win this game.

I’ve been to OKC and that’s a cool city. Lawton sucked. Been to Missouri and Joplin sucked really bad. The best part of the St Louis area are on the Illinois side, Edwardsville, granite. Missouri kills people with the taxes more than Illinois. Imagine that

Get a load of this dumbass.

But I’m just not seeing how they can best Bama. They’ve played 5 games so far… all at home. Here are how those teams rank according to SP+:

#33 Kansas
#41 South Carolina
#115 Louisiana
#194 Central Arkansas
#209 Massachusetts

I honestly think this could be the easiest schedule any SEC team has ever faced through the first week of October. Even still, it hasn’t been pretty at times.

Against Kansas, Mizzou only led for just over 9 minutes of game time until they finally came back to take the lead late at the 4:14 mark late in the fourth quarter. Kansas led for over 32 minutes of game time.

Same story against South Carolina. The Gamecocks had led for over 23 minutes of game time until Mizzou finally took a late lead to win the game with just 9 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

If Mizzou needed fourth quarter comebacks to finally take a lead against the two Top 100 opponents they’ve faced, I just don’t see how some are saying they’ll beat Alabama.

I hope I’m wrong.

Good lord it's amazing how stupid people are.

Mizzou outgained kansass 600 to 250, Mizzou dominated that game. KU only kept it sort of close because of trash Big 12 officiating aiding ku on 2 of their scoring drives (one was a 3rd down sack called facemask).

Mizzou also outgained South Carolina by over 170 yards....SC got a lucky deep ball and actually one TD was just a great throw by Sellers in good coverage.

This Mizzou team is legit....they are deep on both offense and defense. They can run the damn ball and pass it on offense. Front 7 is very good, secondary is inconsistent but has talent. Mizzou has crushed it in the Portal....not only from small schools with a player like Hardy but from Power 5 team players from Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, West Virginia, Michigan and Oklahoma to get players on the OL and DL/LB positions.

Misery plays a HS schedule and considers themselves elite... no amount of evidence will sway them.

Maybe. But Drink has proved he can find really good assistant coaches.

When your secondary gives up massive chunks of yardage that's what happens.

If the defensive backfield can even be average Mizzou could hang with anyone.

true, but that hasn't happened yet.

With the exception of the team that beat tOSU, this has been a consistent issue for Drink's teams.

Yeah, this is a huge mistake. Never ever do this. Mizzou is great at one thing, and that is kicking you right in the balls.

Dumbasses on here think that playing a tougher schedule to date means Bama will automatically win. Why don't we just put the teams with the toughest SOS in the playoffs at the end of the year regardless of record? They should be the best teams according to tRant

Huh?

Lack of a SoS just means it's hard for people to tell if your team is legit or not because there is a long list of teams who could also be undefeated on that schedule.

If you had multiple top teams on your schedule, it would mean you've been challenged and we'd have a good idea on your team strength.

So Missouri could be good, they could be bad, we just have no idea until they play someone, which will be tomorrow.

We have a pretty decent idea about Alabama, they have played the 6th toughest schedule in college football thus far. Missouri's schedule ranks 80th. The expected losses for an elite team on Alabama's schedule is .81. The expected losses for an elite team on Missouri's schedule is .19.

Good team on Alabama's schedule is expected to have 2 losses thus far, and a good team on Missouri's schedule is only up to .80.

This game would be a whole lot easier to judge if Missouri's SoS was higher.
