It was from PFF - but I mis-remembered the stat. It's the most missed tackles in the Mountain West - not in the country.

I wonder if there is a stat for % of tackles made when the opportunity presents itself. Benefield must have been around the ball a lot if he leads or is 2nd in solo tackles in the nation and also has that many missed tackles. Also were they tackles on RB's or receivers? If a receiver, was it his man or someone else's man? I fear I ask too much,

That’s hard to quantify because of how tackles are recorded. Ideally you’d want to know the percent made when it’s 1 on 1. There is a database out there that has extremely advanced analytics, iirc they even have qb stats vs each coverage type(cover 0, 1, 2 man, etc), that may have that info, but I forget the name
