re: I wonder if LSU wishes they hadn't let Lacy get away.

Which SEC games for Ware? Because Ware had carries against Vandy, Ole Miss, AU, and Bama. Those carries produced a whopping 30 yds with 17 yds coming on one play against Ole Miss.
Lacy had 12 carries for 55 yds against SEC competition.
I took every single SEC game for both running backs + the bowl games. I added in the penn state game.
Are you really this stupid? Is this really beyond your comprehension?
I subtracted the non-conference shitty games from both players, subtracted it from their total carries for the year, and made the %. It isn't difficult

Big 12 at least has numerous offenses.
Which is thanks in part to the Conference defenses that lay down for them.

Michigan state was a terrible team.
Weren't they ranked over LSU a good portion of the season?

It's futile to argue this right now, let's revisit it in 2 years when both are starting. By then Ware will have had a full year of starting in the SEC(that's if he stays healthy)
Screw it, this is fun

what did Lacy accomplish last year again?
406 yds and 6 TDs while behind a Heisman winner and and an SEC All-Freshman

Lacy had 33 of his 56 carries against Duke, San Jose State, and Georgia State.

he got almost all of those yards because of injury
Ware had 276 yards behind a healthy RB

Not a lot, but more than Ware.
LSU's projected starter couldn't outperform Bama's 3rd string back

Ware wasn't our 3rd string back last year?

Which isn't comparable as that's 5 games for Ware and only 3 for Lacy. Adding the Penn St. game only brings it up to 4 for Lacy

That was the whole point. Lacy played in more games because of injuries to Ingram and Richardson and padded his stats in games that don't mean shite.
%'s of their stats coming against good competition seems, to me at least, to be a better gauge for actual performance.
Ware also had a 16 yard catch against Tenn and 14 yards receiving against UF. Lacy didn't have any catches in SEC play and only 3 for the year (against San Jose State and Duke)

No, LSU fans are trying to sell Ware, who has done much less.
As a true frosh, looked pretty damn good vs A&M. He is a keeper.

Ford wouldn't even take reps from Corey Grant.

It's certainly a start.
Seems the tread was about LSU fans and Lacy. I don't think of many who are too worried about Eddy Lacy at this point.

Which makes it even better, he couldn't beat out a likely 4th Rd draft pick and a back deemed "soft" by LSU faithful.
Lacy on the otherhand, was behind the #1 back in the Draft and one of the latest physical freaks in the SEC.
Which one has the better excuse?

He isn't at LSU because he was an idiot in the classroom and outside of the classroom. He is an LSU reject and we are happy with what we got. I have yet to see proof that Ware is a worse running back than him, and we have plenty of backs behind him as well.
He will not be missed here

Wrong. He came in when the other running backs got their carries and weren't needed in the game.
And since when is the Capital One Bowl a game that doesn't mean shite?

One game against a middle of the pack defense is hardly enough for people to be saying "he's on Richardson's level" like they have in this thread.

Right, if Ford is sooo great, why would so many call him "too soft" to play RB? He's nothing special and wouldn't get reps at Bama.

Likewise with Bama fans and Spencer Ware...

i dont know how you people can still be arguing this shite
i thought this thread would stop around pg 6 if lucky. But no, the homerism ,on both sides, is strong in this thread and has dragged out to 12

uhh, Ford is a very physical runner

Since Lsu was passed over for it.

Really? Ingram played against San Jose State and Penn State?
Richardson wasn't out against Georgia State and MSU?

never said it was. The Capital One Bowl was included in the %'s for a reason.
I was saying that San Jose State, Georgia State, and Duke don't mean shite, which anyone with half a brain could gather from the post

Tell that to the 2 people who called him soft in this thread.
They were both LSU fans FWIW...

LSU has plenty of dumb fans that don't know shite, and it appears that Bama has some too (BamaFan89)
