Will Wade served his show cause and is making his triumphant return to a school that fired him.
This is America! We love redemption stories!
It’s more than likely going to end in some cheating or other allegation and go down in flames (again), but I wish him all the best.

The man served harsh penalties for doing something that everyone does and is now legal. Would like to think true sports fans would realize he was screwed over. The penalty far exceeded the crime.

Doesn’t matter. Broke the rule at the time and got caught. And I’m still not sure if brokering a deal between a company and a player is still legal for a coach to do under the rules.
Not saying others aren’t going so (sure sounds like Napier tried to do something similar).

Interesting..... I wonder if they will ever go back and restore vacated wins, taken before paying players was legal. It just seems right.
Can they go back and un-shut down SMU for example ? Give them back 2 years they took away for{ gasp} paying players ????
( I know, I know Missouri has been on probation, but it was because of academic fraud... we were too stupid to just pay guys ! )

People have to live by the rules of the society they reside in at the time they are there.
For instance, a coonass used to be able to slap a bitch for not skinning the nutria so the hides could be sold.
If she gave the coonass head of the swamp shack any lip about being asked to pull in the crawdad nets, she could expect a slap right across her kisser.
If caught messing around with any relatives or neighbors who may have snuck up to the shack in a pirogue while Daddy Coonass was away, she could expect a beating to be coming.
Those aren't the rules now. Times have changed.

LSU fans: Heroin and cocaine used to be legal.
Also LSU fans: Heroin and cocaine used to be legal so they are still legal since they once were.

That was one way to escape a beating. The point is, coonasses and even reputable human beings used to be able to, by law, beat their wives if they didn't do as told.
That isn't the law any longer so you can't legally beat your wife. I'm trying to penetrate the coonass logic on this site that just because what Wade did was illegal at the time but is legal now doesn't mean a price didn't have to be paid.
One has to relate to a coonass on their level so that they can grasp a concept.

He ultimately got fired because he lawyered up and refused to speak with the athletic department and his bosses.
If anyone here who is employed screwed up badly - so badly it ended up on the evening national news - and then refused to even speak with their boss they too would find themselves unemployed.
You should ask the people who served federal prison terms whether they think that Will Wade’s treatment was too harsh. He should be thanking his lucky stars he didn’t join them.

Sir, this thread is about Will Wade, not Lane Kiffin.

Just like you can currently marry your first cousin in alabama. Its weird that alabama refuses to get rid of that law, and you guys wonder why everyone associates alabama citizens and incest, lol.

Exactly. So if you lived in Alabama, you could marry your first cousin at this point in time. If the practice was outlawed tomorrow, it doesn't mean you could keep doing it just because you and your family used to do it.
Btw, first cousin marriage is legal in 18 U.S. states, including Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia.
Alabama is seemingly in great company.

How do you think Tristan Keys signed a deal with Adidas and ended up at Tennessee? There’s nothing the NCAA can do anymore with that stuff

The most racist on that list unironically would be Bama. See this loser’s posts in here as examples.
Also, it may not be legal to marry your sister in bama.. it’s totally customary to frick sisters there.

My God the high horses of some posters here. Guess what, your coach paid basketball recruits. 100% of all coaches paid, it was the dirtiest of sports.
NCAA violation and the man paid his penalty. How weak-minded does a person have to be to keep obsessing over the fact a guy caught caught once making an incriminating statement one time on a private phone call.
LET IT GO.
It’s over. You sound like a nagging wife.
