They got our tuition. Paid out of pocket. We don’t donate to multi million dollar entities. Our donations are for church and charities.

I definitely am not going to be a jocksniffing NIL “contributor”.

If they “need” my money, they have mismanaged the millions/billions they are already given.

My wife got her Master’s from FSU and they are beggars.

If you are getting something of equal value in return that's not donating that's investing.

Yes, you will always have tv revenue to fall back on but they are losing the fanbase which will hurt the overall pocketbook

you touch on a good point

college stadium luxury seating is on the way

Arkansas' new north end zone for instance was a forerunner to what will happen slowly to the rest of the stadium

comfortable seating, bathrooms, hot dogs and nachos within a stone's throw, it's all coming

It's getting harder and harder to compete with the average viewer's living room.

Alabama just spent $107m on Bryant-Denny for "offseason renovations to club and luxury seating," when it was already one of the better facilities in the country.

Meanwhile, the basketball coliseum needed to be imploded 30 years ago.

ADs know what's coming for their cash cow, and are positioning themselves already, before it's too late.

Seems like a hard generalization and somewhat prejudiced in nature. College football has always been corrupt in its business practices. But then not many charitable organizations exist today that aren't skimming off the top, middle, and bottom too.

great post

literally for Bama, what's the top seating high end NFL stadium capacity?

Dallas is 80K and the Falcons are 71K

Bama should be between that

Arkansas should be a total of 60K with high luxury all over the stadium

Since the improvements in 2010, overall capacity has gone down by almost 2k seats (it's now 100k). It was originally scheduled to decrease a good bit more, but plans were changed.

Most if not all of these were removed and replaced with those amenity/luxury suites.

As such, I would expect it to continue to go down as in-person attendance inevitably declines around the country.

I don't know what that magic number is, though. I guess the market will dictate that eventually. You're probably pretty close with those NFL numbers.

Basketball is similar in that Coleman seats over 15k, but we really only need somewhere in the range of 10-12k to make it more intimate for average contests. I would expect any new arena to be in the 8-12k range for sure.

Nobody cares who you donate to. Or your racist tones. The truth is these fanatics of the college gridiron have been buying season tickets for decades knowing they are directly donating to their favorite charity.

These Universities continue to get filthy rich and no one seems to be all that indignant about corporate America. Just the kids who have been the cash cow and the reason for the season. You are such a hypocrite.

Again, you're an idiot. "racist tones"? Show me those, cultural Marxists pathological liar

I have no problem with NIL money going to kids from corporate America

You can't read. Your problem is you can't read, and you start throwing "racism" accusations around before you even are unable to finish reading a sentence

again, show my my "racist tones" in any of these posts. I'll be waiting with my crickets in a can, ready to release them

I'm pretty sure your welfare check goes to cheap booze and a 2nd mortgage on the single wide, so it's an entirely moot point.

So did it bother you just as much for the last 100 years when some players had bag men and other under the table deals instead? God forbid we let kids make money on their own name, likeness, and image. All of that belongs to the school so they can pay coaches $10 million a year.

Sorry but your virtue is misplaced.

Ok virtuous one. So I assume you won't support those businesses with your money then since your "hard earned money" won't be used for NIL? Just trying to make sure I know how to understand your nobility and integrity properly about how college players shouldn't make money and only schools and coaches should.

I'm not sure, since I don't know all the details in that you're suggesting are present

What I'm suggesting is, I'll change the things I can change, which means I'm not handing my family money to kids through NIL go-fund-me's for them to go give to strippers and Taco Bell (hope the Taco Bell comment doesn't get the cultural Marxist triggered again)

You know, you really are quite inherently dishonest. Perhaps no posting at all and finding a moral compass would work best for you.

I spend my money at businesses where I get something in exchange for the transaction

If it's a catfish place that does NIL, I get catfish, so I'm good with it
