You guys hired Shula so you wouldn't have to hire a black. That the lesson you are referring to?

I guess that's what Alabama gets for actually interviewing a minority canidate.

Yea. Rogers was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at a bar; he's 18 years old. No suspension?

What qualification did Croom have that made him a better choice?

I didn't ask you to ask me a question.

Neither of them deserved the job, but it had nothing to do with Croom being black. I think what put Shula over the edge was that he had actually had a coordinator job which is normally the step before becoming a head coach. I don't think Croom was ever a coordinator.

You are full of shite. Croom was older, played for and coached under the Bear and had every qualification that Shula had. But, Shula was white. You're in denial if you think Croom being black had nothing to do with it.

He was offensive coordinator for the Lions in the late 90's.

They were both apart of Alabama's family and tradition. We have a Sylvester Croom award. Him being black had nothing to do with his hire. Stop playing the race card

I'm aware

Yes, it did. I understand why you deny it. Nobody wants to be accused of racial bias and admit to it publicly. When it comes to getting head coaching jobs, it helps to be white. The evidence is overwhelming. I'm not playing the race card. Alabama had the race card in their deck when it chose Shula over Croom.

I explained to you why I thought Shula was more qualified, albeit by a small margin. Now why don't you explain to me how Croom was more qualified.

But, your theory doesn't hold up. You can't just post anything you want to on here without me checking up on it. The small margin you tried to explain just didn't exist. There is no qualification that Shula had that Croom didn't.

I didn't say Croom was more qualified but for damn sure, Shula had no qualification that Croom didn't have.

I'm not the one who brought up race or Croom being black. You did.

The one qualification that Shula had that Croom didn't was being a coordinator. I'd say that's a somewhat big deal in football. And I didn't bring up the race issue, roaad did.

ETA: So Rocket, if you think their qualifications are equal, you think we hired Shula because he was white? Is that right

Are you blind? Croom had been a coordinator before.

When it became dialogue between me and you, you were the one who brought it up.

Absolutely. I know you don't want to admit to it but yes, that's why he was picked.
