So OM is not very good because they were gifted the turn overs, but when the gumps beat tamu, it was all world talent that won that game??? Nice deflection gump.

LSU is going to ground and pound on Bama for 4 quarters.

if we do this we'll set a record for most 3 and outs IMO

SO only your good games will be indicative of how yall perform?

Do you understand the concept of an "outlier"?

quote:

like the illegal touching of the onside kick in that Ole Miss game. Hate to break it to you, but all plays count.

That play didn't result in points for us, or yards for Ole Miss. So, I don't understand your point in regards to the topic.

Yes, all plays count. That's why Ole Miss won.

So we can assume you're best defensive game was an outlier too? So yall are just average then?

If our best defensive game is very different from our average defensive game, yes, you can. But, I don't think subtracting our best defensive game, would cause the average of the rest of them to fall to "average". So, no, I'll disagree that Bama has an average defense.

Seriously, I know you're not all this dense.

I'v always said this. It's not that Saban "hasn't figured out how to stop the HUNH", it's that he doesn't have the personnel you need to stop it.

On that point you are right, he looks at the NFL prototype and recruits accordingly. Oklahoma exploited this in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago as did Utah a few years back. You've got to use a greater level of speed than his defense has, that means using wider gaps between the linemen as Utah and Oklahoma did. You need to spread out the front four so that there are 1 on 1 match ups and not as much opportunity for the stunts...it also blunts the opportunities for Saban's exotic blitzes...not as easyto hide a safety when you spread the line out a little more

Yep.

Not directly, but you scored a TD that you shouldn't have because you got a possession you shouldn't have. Don't be dumb.

If anyone is dense, that's been you.

LSU will bang their head against that brick wall until they bust through. Miles is kind of stubborn like that. I have no problem with it.

I'm sorry that it wasn't evident by the way you asked questions that completely contradicted any understanding of "outlier". That threw me off. Carry on.

Also, I'll concede that I'd forgotten the onsides kick led to points. I was thinking it was before the last drive that ended the game.

Against the SEC, your defense hasn't been that impressive. You've given up over 300 yards in your last two games, against some pretty marginal competition. The "fluke" play may be an outlier, but your defense hasn't been some unstoppable force like usual.

O line -LSU
d line - Bama
QB - LSU
RB - LSU
special teams - LSU kicker has not missed all year
LB - bama even though LSU has 2 award watch LBs
WR - LSU
TE - Bama

Forcing bad throws comes from front 7 getting pressure Harris 0 ints due to Oline. LSU +1 TA margin per game. The game comes down to the Oline vs Dline battle for both sides. This year unlike most LSU has the best offense of the two teams. Harris has moved the ball when asked to do so. LSU beating UF is the best win for either team.
