I've only ever seen Aggies rush the field once, against Nebraska in 2010, and that was from people who were on the track and were encouraged to do so by the players.I think besides that game we've only done it once or twice, so no worries.

I was pissed. I went to the game in flip flops and it was either get trampled by a mob of drunk frickers or get over the fence and out of the way... Got stepped on and elbowed so many times it was ridiculous. Huge embarrassment to the school IMO. $75,000 in damages when you factor in the goal post(s), fencing, and of course the hedges. :dawgshame: 9 year drought vs. UT... still not acceptable.

Do really think the fan base any BCS program in the nation thinks that beating one of those doormats warrants storming the field?

Why, why, why would we rush the field if we beat one of those teams? We rushed the field after beating #1 OU on Homecoming, that is hardly comparable to beating Ole Miss or Kentucky.

However, if/when Bama is still a top five team when they visit Columbia next Fall and we somehow beat them, that field will likely be rushed.

No, I meant if they storm the field against anybody in general. I just assumed that's the only ones they would be beating anytime soon.

They'll beat UT next year no doubt. Other than that, you're probably right.

If we do manage to beat one of the SEC heavyweights, the goalposts have to go to Harpo's.

Somewhere in the back of his mind he envisioned Mizzou fans storming the field on his Tide after upsetting them.

What other possible out of the blue reason could there be for this thread?

A&M is pretty picky about people getting on their field. It is considered "Hallowed Ground"
Doubt they'd do this.

If the yell leaders don't have a hand signal for it, they won't do it.

Well like the other guy said....if they beat Bama next year, I would think that they SHOULD storm the field. Maybe you should think so too since you seem to think they are only capable of beating OM, UK and Vandy.

If we beat BAMA this year I think we should storm the field...

That said, I expect to be walking back to my truck with 5 minutes left on the game clock thinking about how much I am going to drink before I start kicking my dog...

Sure it does, I was drunk and it hit me out of the blue that Big 12 schools storm the field, and we always laugh at you for it. So I started the thread.

The only reason I like seeing a field stormed is because it usually means the SEC is that much closer to playing in a NC.

The last time a team stormed the field after an Aggie game was when Southwestern Louisiana beat them in Lafayette (1996). Those MF's tore down the goal posts and carried them out whole.

I suppose it takes a couple of years in the SEC before a fan base can recognize obvious facetiousness.
