I miss interesting Thursday night games

Seems like the NFL has pushed all the good Thursday college games to Friday, but I couldn’t care less about pro football.
I miss the days when you could settle in on a Thursday night and watch Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Vandy, Stanford, or Georgia Tech play someone in a game that might actually matter. Sometimes they’d even upset a ranked opponent.
I guess Friday night is ok, but I usually have things to do, unlike Thursday. Thursday night was a perfect amount of time before the weekend to get things started. I vividly remember watching the Virginia Tech entrance to the stadium and getting pumped, even though I have no rooting interest in the Hokies. It was just entertaining. Seems like those teams were made for those types of games.

Back when arkansas was actually decent I enjoyed watching those thursday night games against LSU.

Back when Louisville was con usa, anytime they got a shot at a P5 school on Thursday you knew fireworks were coming
